Frequently asked questions

Can you do the design without traveling to site?

Yes. Design and studies are done from our office with the project information: existing drawings, nameplate data, photos and the utility requirements. Field work, such as surveys or measurements, is done in Colombia, or elsewhere on request or by your local team following our instructions.

Which codes and standards do you design to?

IEC and IEEE standards, adapted to the local code and the utility requirements that you give us at the start of the project. We list the applicable standards in each calculation report.

What information do you need to start?

It depends on the scope. For a design: the project scope, site information and the utility requirements. For a coordination study: the single-line diagram, nameplate data of transformers, cables and protective devices, the short-circuit level at the point of connection and, if they exist, the current settings.

Can you also load and test what you design?

Yes. With our remote configuration service we load the settings and configurations into the devices and verify them, so the design, the study and the configuration stay under one responsibility. Field testing and commissioning are available in Colombia, or elsewhere on request.
